The Lewis McManus Fellowship will be offered each year to one second-year full-time graduate student pursuing the Master of Public Administration degree or Master of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Administration through West Virginia University, Marshall University or the two universities’ joint program.
The chosen student will serve as a ;legislative intern for the duration of one academic year, including one regular session of the Legislature and the monthly interim sessions. The student will be granted one year’s tuition and fees at his or her university and will be provided with a stipend during the legislative session and per diem pay during interim sessions.
Finalists will be nominated by his or her respective university, and the recipient will be chosen by a House of Delegates committee.
