Attire for Rafting and Float Trips Flexible, secure footwear is required (old sneakers, river sandals - rubber soled with ankle straps or rubber swim shoes). Swim booties are available for rental. Comfortable swimwear, a ball cap or visor, sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested. Layer over the swimwear with wool or polypropylene long johns, shorts and a windbreaker. Wool or Polartec socks will keep feet warm under sandals. Layered clothing should not be cotton. Sleeveless wetsuits that cover from the ankle to chest, including a jacket, may be rented for $20.
