A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §29-22-29, relating
to prohibiting the lottery from using minors in advertising
during school hours.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §29-22-29, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 22. STATE LOTTERY ACT.
§29-22-29. Prohibited acts, advertising involving minors.
The commissioners, the director, the deputy directors and the
employees or any agent retained by the lottery, may not remove any
minor children from the classroom during school hours or depict any
public school facility for any purpose to create advertisements in
any medium.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to prohibit the use of
minors during school time by the lottery for lottery
advertisements.
