SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 40

Requesting the Joint Committee on Government and Finance include the Advisory Council on Professional Opportunity as advisors to the Joint Commission on Economic Development during the interim.

Whereas, During the first regular session of the seventy-fifth Legislature, students of the Advisory Council on Professional Opportunity assisted the Senate Select Committee on Economic Development in an advisory capacity; and
Whereas, The Legislature should enact legislation to establish the Joint Commission on Economic Development through the Joint Committee on Government and Finance; and
Whereas, If this legislation is enacted, the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Delegates should appoint, in an advisory capacity, representatives of the Advisory Council on Professional Opportunity, consisting of one student from each of West Virginia's colleges and universities to work with the Joint Commission on Economic Development; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia;
That the Legislature hereby requests the Joint Committee on Government and Finance include the Advisory Council on Professional Opportunity as advisors to the Joint Commission on Economic Development during the interim; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the expenses necessary to reimburse the members of the Advisory Council on Professional Opportunity who are appointed to act in an advisory capacity to the Joint Commission on Economic Development interim committee of the Joint Committee on Government and Finance be reimbursed from legislative appropriations to the Joint Committee on Government and Finance.
