A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-47, relating to
requiring local school boards to reimburse school service
personnel for mileage expended for the use of their own
vehicle in the course of their employment at a rate consistent
with the state mileage reimbursement rate.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-47, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 5. COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.
§18-5-47. Mileage reimbursement rate for school service personnel.
School service personnel when required to use a personal motor
vehicle in the performance of work related activities shall be
reimbursed for that use at the same rate that state employees are reimbursed for mileage costs when using a personal motor vehicle
for job related activities.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require local school
boards to reimburse employees for mileage expended for the use of
their own vehicle in the course of their employment at a rate
consistent with the state mileage reimbursement rate.
