A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-27, relating to
requiring
automated external defibrillators
in public schools.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-27, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 5. COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.
§18-5-27. Automated external defibrillators required.
____________________________________________All county boards of education shall provide automated
external defibrillators at each school.
____________________________________________One school employee at each school shall be trained in the use
of automated external defibrillators and cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR).
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require
automated
external defibrillators
in public schools
.
§18-5-27 is new; therefore, it has been completely
underscored.
