A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §20-2B-7a, relating
to creating a lifetime hunting license for nonresidents who
are sixty-five years or older and who own real property in the
state; and providing rule-making authority.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §20-2B-7a, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 2B. WILDLIFE ENDOWMENT FUND.
§20-2B-7a. Lifetime hunting licenses created for nonresidents;
qualifications.
(a) Pursuant to section three of this article, the Director of
the Division of Natural Resources may issue lifetime hunting
licenses for nonresidents of the state who are sixty-five years of age or older and who own real property in the state for the
lifetime of the licensee. The lifetime hunting license is in lieu
of the equivalent annual hunting license.
(b) The director shall propose a rule for legislative approval
in accordance with article three, chapter twenty-nine-a of this
code setting the fee for the lifetime license.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to create a life-time
hunting license for nonresidents who are sixty-five years or older
and who own real property in the state. The bill grants the
Director of the Division of Natural Resources rule-making
authority.
