A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated
§17-16A-30, relating to exempting funeral procession from
paying tolls while traveling on the West Virginia Turnpike.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §17-16A-30, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 16A. WEST VIRGINIA PARKWAYS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND
TOURISM AUTHORITY.
§17-16A-30. Funeral procession exempt from payment of tolls.
All vehicles traveling in a funeral procession, to the
cemetery for burial of deceased, are exempt from payment of any
toll. Vehicles must be clearly identifiable as participants in the
funeral procession.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to exempt vehicles in a
funeral procession from paying a toll on the West Virginia
Turnpike.
