Charleston, WV - West Virginia Senate Majority Leader John Unger, (D-Berkeley), announced the passage by the Senate of SB 369 relating to concealed handgun license reciprocity.
“This bill expands the number of states which recognize West Virginia concealed carry permits by eliminating requirements that other state laws have to meet,” said Senator Unger, lead sponsor of the bill.
The committee substitute also makes written reciprocity agreements between West Virginia and other states optional, due to the fact that some states require them.
“As more states are recognizing a law-abiding citizen’s right to carry arms across state lines, this bill helps remove some of the obstacles in current law.
