Delegate Justin Marcum Advocates for Sunday Hunting Bill

Charleston W.Va – Delegate Justin Marcum, D – Mingo, has announced his advocacy for SB 345, which would allow certain hunting and trapping on private lands on Sundays in season.

“This bill will bring a lot of money in to our state economy,” said Delegate Marcum. “The fiscal note on this bill is an increase of $9,249,437.”

Delegate Marcum explained he has spoken with the NRA and they are in support of the bill.

“We have the votes to get this bill passed,” said Marcum. “Once this bill gets to the floor we are ready to pull the trigger on it.”

The bill is currently in the House of Delegate’s Agriculture and Natural Resource Committee. Delegate Marcum said he hopes that it makes it to the floor for a vote soon.
