WEIRTON, W.Va. – District 1 Delegate Mark Zatezalo, R-Hancock, has been invited to be a guest speaker this week at the 2016 State and Provincial Trends in Energy and the Environment Conference in Wichita, Kansas.
The conference is sponsored by the Energy Council, an organization comprised of legislators from 11 energy-producing states and two Canadian provinces. The group was formed to better address issues that confront energy-producing areas of the continent and to help formulate policy related to energy production.
Delegate Zatezalo, a Registered Professional Geologist and member of the House Energy Committee, and Nicholas “Corky” Demarco of WVONGA will lead off the conference on Friday, June 24, and discuss the effect of shale gas development on the economy of West Virginia.
