A BILL to repeal §21-5A-1, §21-5A-2, §21-5A-3, §21-5A-5, §21-5A-6, §21-5A-7, §21-5A-8, §21-5A-9, §21-5A-10 and §21-5A-11 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, all relating to repealing prevailing hourly rate of wages requirements by or on behalf of public authorities engaged in construction of public improvements.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

            

§1. Repeal of the article relating to the prevailing hourly rate                   of wages requirements by or on the behalf of public                   authorities engaged in the construction of public                   improvements.

             §21-5A-1, §21-5A-2, §21-5A-3, §21-5A-5, §21-5A-6, §21-5A-7, §21-5A-8, §21-5A-9, §21-5A-10 and §21-5A-11 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, are hereby repealed.

 


            NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to repeal the article requiring public authorities engaged in the construction of public improvements to pay the prevailing hourly rate of wages. The bill also repeals other provisions associated with that requirement.
