A BILL to amend and reenact §20-1-3 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to renaming the Division of Natural Resources the Division of Wildlife, Recreation and Parks.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That §20-1-3 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:

ARTICLE 1. ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION.

§20-1-3. Division of Natural Resources, Office of Director and Commission established; Division renamed Division of Wildlife, Recreation and Parks.

A Division of Natural Resources, the Office of Director of the Division of Natural Resources and a Natural Resources Commission are ~~hereby created and~~ established in the State Government with jurisdiction, powers, functions, services and enforcement processes as provided in this chapter and elsewhere by law.
On the first day of July, two thousand five, the Division of Natural Resources is renamed the Division of Wildlife, Recreation and Parks. After that, wherever the term "Division of Natural Resources" is used in this code, it means "Division of Wildlife, Recreation and Parks."

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to rename the Division of Natural Resources the Division of Wildlife, Recreation and Parks.
