A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §18B-10-1d, relating
to illegal aliens not afforded resident tuition rates at state
institutions of higher education.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §18B-10-1d, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 10. FEES AND OTHER MONEY COLLECTED AT STATE INSTITUTIONS
OF HIGHER EDUCATION.
§18B-10-1d. Illegal aliens.
Resident tuition rates for students attending community
colleges and state-related and state-owned institutions of higher
education shall not be afforded to undocumented illegal aliens
residing within this state.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to prohibit illegal aliens from obtaining in-state tuition rates at state colleges and
universities.
