A BILL to repeal §61-8-3 and §61-8-4 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, all relating to adultery and lewd cohabitation being misdemeanors.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

ARTICLE 8. CRIMES AGAINST CHASTITY, MORALITY AND DECENCY.

§1. Repeal of section relating to adultery and fornication.

§61-8-3 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, is hereby repealed.

§2. Repeal of section relating to lewd and lascivious cohabitation and conduct.

§61-8-4 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, is hereby repealed.



NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to repeal outmoded sections of the code that make adultery, fornication and persons who lewdly and lasciviously cohabit together misdemeanors.
