A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §5-16-28, relating to
development of pilot programs by the Director of the Public
Employees Insurance Agency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §5-16-28, to read as
follows:
§5-16-28. Pilot programs.
The Director of the West Virginia Public Employees Agency is
authorized to enact pilot programs to explore alternative delivery
methods for health benefits. To accomplish this, the Director may
design the programs upon such terms as the Director deems
advantageous to the public employees insurance agency and its
members. Such terms may include, but are not limited to the
designation of a pilot program as a plan developed under section three, article twenty-nine-d, chapter sixteen of the code:
Provided, That nothing in this section may be construed to apply
to state government agencies.
