A BILL to amend and reenact section five, article four, chapter
five-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to transferring the
labor management council from the former governor's office
of community and economic development to the office of the
secretary of commerce, labor and environmental resources.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section five, article four, chapter five-b of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
CHAPTER 5B. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1985.
ARTICLE 4. LABOR-MANAGEMENT COUNCIL.
§5B-4-5. Labor-management council to constitute independent
agency; expenses of director and council.
The labor-management council shall constitute an independent
agency housed within the office of the secretary of the
department of commerce, labor and environmental resources. The
council shall appoint a director to oversee the activities of thecouncil. The director and members of the council shall be
entitled to reimbursement for reasonable and necessary expenses.
