A BILL to amend article two, chapter five-f of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
by adding thereto a new section, designated section five,
relating to limiting to one hundred dollars per calendar day
compensation which may be paid to persons appointed to and
serving on state boards and commissions.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two, chapter five-f of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section five,
to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. TRANSFER OF AGENCIES AND BOARDS.
§5F-2-5. Compensation of members of state boards and
commissions.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this code to the
contrary, a person appointed to, and serving on, any board or
commission authorized under the provisions of this code may not
be paid more than one hundred dollars in compensation for eachcalendar day during which the person is actually performing
duties required of members of the board or commission on which
the person is appointed to serve.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to limit compensation of
members of state boards and commissions to $100.00 per day.
