A BILL to amend article fourteen, chapter seventeen-c of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
three, relating to motor vehicles; and prohibiting drivers
of motor vehicles from proceeding in a left turn lane for
more than one exit.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article fourteen, chapter seventeen-c of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
three, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 14. MISCELLANEOUS RULES.
§17C-14-3. Driving in left turn lane.
The driver of a motor vehicle, traveling in the left turn
lane, may not proceed in the left turn lane farther than the
first left hand exit from the left turn lane.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to prohibit a driver of
a motor vehicle from proceeding in the left turn lane past the
first left turn exit.
