§61-6-8. Release or rescue of person in custody charged or
convicted under §61-6-7; penalty.
If any person, by force, or other unlawful means, shall
release or rescue, or attempt to release or rescue, a person in
prison or other custody, charged with, or convicted of an offense
under the provisions of the preceding section of this article, he
shall be guilty of a felony, and, upon conviction, shall be
confined in the penitentiary not less than one nor more than ten
years.
