§21A-2-10. Examinations and annual merit ratings.
The commissioner shall hold examinations to determine the
technical and professional qualifications of applicants for
positions. The examinations shall be a guide to the commissioner
in making his appointments.
The commissioner shall annually rate the employees according
to their merit and shall determine whether they are maintaining
standards of eligibility.
