§14-2-10. Qualifications of judges.
Each judge appointed to the court of claims shall be an
attorney at law, licensed to practice in this state, and shall
have been so licensed to practice law for a period of not less
than ten years prior to his appointment as judge. A judge shall
not be an officer or an employee of any branch of state
government, except in his capacity as a member of the court and
shall receive no other compensation from the state or any of its
political subdivisions. A judge shall not hear or participate in
the consideration of any claim in which he is interested
personally, either directly or indirectly.
