The Committee on Pensions and Retirement moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:

H.B. 2862 – “A BILL to amend and reenact §7-14D-2, §7-14D11, §7-14D13, §7-14D19, §7-14D-20 and §7-14D24 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended; and to amend said code by adding thereto a new section, designated §7-14D-32, all relating to the Deputy Sheriff Retirement System Act; defining terms; amending and removing conflicting statutory provisions; removing restriction on type of annuity for married members; clarifying preretirement death benefits; clarifying survivor death benefits; allowing appointed sheriff to transfer service upon certain circumstances; and adding severability section.”
