A. Presentation: Fred Earley, President of the Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield of West Virginia will explain the problems that can arise if such legislation is passed.
B. Presentation: Randy Cox, Spilman Thomas & Battle - On behalf of America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and the West Virginia HMO Association will also speak about the reasons that the assignment of benefits is not a good idea.
C. Presentation: Joseph M. Letnaunchyn, President of the West Virginia Hospital Association will speak in support of legislation that will require assignment of benefits to be honored.
D. Presentation: The West Virginia Medical Association will also speak in support of legislation that will require assignment of benefit documents to be honored.
