A BILL to amend and reenact §20-2-19 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to marking traps with a Division of Natural Resources identification tag.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


That §20-2-19 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:

ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.


§20-2-19. Marking of traps.

All traps used for taking game or fur-bearing animals shall be marked with (1) a durable plate or tag attached to the snare, trap or trap chain bearing the name and address of the owner of the trap or (2) with a Division of Natural Resources identification tag.


 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources identification tag to be used to identify a trap.
