A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-25-19, relating to termination of the West Virginia Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-25-19, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 25. NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATORS.

§30-25-19. Termination of the West Virginia Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board.


(a) The West Virginia Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board is hereby terminated in accordance with section twelve, article ten, chapter four of this code. Effective July 1, 2018, the board shall be eliminated and the provisions of this article shall cease to be effective. Upon the effective date of this section, the board shall begin the winding up of its affairs and take all necessary steps to effectuate the termination of the board and its regulation of nursing home administrators.

(b) On or before June 30, 2018, the board shall dispose all assets, property, and records pursuant to section thirteen, article ten, chapter four of this code. All unexpended funds in the West Virginia Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board Fund shall be transferred into the General Revenue Fund.

(c) Effective July 1, 2018, all legislative rules promulgated by the board in accordance with section six of this article are terminated and have no further force or effect.

 

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to terminate the West Virginia Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board.
