A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §20-5-19a, relating to providing a fifty percent discount to members of the West Virginia National Guard and the West Virginia National Guard Reserve in campground rental fees in state parks.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

    That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §20-5-19a, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 5. PARKS AND RECREATION.

§20-5-19a. Discounts for members of the West Virginia National               Guard and the West Virginia Reserves.

    The director shall issue a discount card to members of the West Virginia National Guard and members of the West Virginia Reserves which would provide a fifty percent reduction in campground rental fees for each campsite to be used exclusively by the eligible camper: Provided, That in order to be eligible for the reduction, the person shall document that he or she is a member of the West Virginia National Guard or the West Virginia Reserves. The director shall promulgate rules in accordance with article three, chapter twenty-nine-a of this code setting forth the documentation which is necessary to prove that he or she is a member of the West Virginia National Guard or the West Virginia Reserves.




    NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide a fifty percent discount to members of the West Virginia National Guard and the West Virginia Reserves in campground rental fees in state parks. The bill also provides for rulemaking.
