Requesting that the Joint Committee on Government and Finance
authorize a study of the law governing the West Virginia Board
of Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters.

HEREAS
, Changes have occurred in the practice of the
profession of hearing aid dealers and fitters that have not been
incorporated into the regulatory framework governing the board; and
W
HEREAS
, The Legislature is committed to protecting the public
through the licensure and regulation of professions and occupations
in this state; and
W
HEREAS
, The statute governing the
West Virginia Board of
Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters
should be reviewed to consider any
appropriate and necessary revisions to the laws and rules governing
the profession; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Joint Committee on Government and Finance is hereby
requested to authorize a study of the law governing the
West
Virginia Board of Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters
; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Joint Committee on Government and
Finance report to the Regular Session of the Legislature, 2011, on its findings, conclusions and recommendations, together with drafts
of any legislation necessary to effectuate its recommendations;
and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Legislative expenses necessary to
conduct this study, to prepare a report and to draft necessary
legislation be paid from legislative appropriations to the Joint
Committee on Government and Finance.
