Requesting the Division of Highways name Bridge Number: 52-N00/99-000.03  () (52A902), (39.68368, -80.45805) locally known as Wetzel Street Bridge, carrying City N00/99 over Church Fork in Wetzel County, the "U.S. Army PFC Alfred E. Garrison Memorial Bridge".

Whereas, Alfred Ester Garrison lived a life worthy of remembrance; and

Whereas, Mr. Garrison was born September 12, 1940, in Hundred, West Virginia, to Milton A. Garrison and Marie Poland Garrison; and

Whereas, Mr. Garrison served in the United States Army and reached the rank of PFC E-3; and

Whereas, PFC Garrison was awarded the Good Conduct Medal for his heroic service in the Army; and

Whereas, PFC Garrison continued a life of service by becoming a police officer for the Town of Hundred, WV for many years; and

Whereas, PFC Garrison further served his community as a bus driver for the Wetzel County Board of Education; and

Whereas, PFC Garrison was a proud veteran of the United States Army and member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 in Hundred, West Virginia; and

Whereas, PFC Garrison was also a faithful member of the Rush Run Methodist Church congregation; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That the Division of Highways name Bridge Number: 52-N00/99-000.03 (), (39.6836341029883, -80.4580244800999) locally known as Wetzel Street Bridge, to the "U.S. Army PFC Alfred E. Garrison Memorial Bridge," and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to have made and be placed signs identifying the bridge as the "U.S. Army PFC Alfred E. Garrison Memorial Bridge," and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House forward a copy of this resolution to the Commissioner of the Division of Highways.
