A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §17-16A-30, relating
to exempting law-enforcement officers on official duty from
paying tolls on the West Virginia Turnpike.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §17-16A-30, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 16A. WEST VIRGINIA PARKWAYS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND
TOURISM AUTHORITY.
§17-16A-30. Law-enforcement officers on official duty exempt from
paying tolls on the West Virginia Turnpike.
Any county, state or local law-enforcement officer who is on
official duty in a marked or unmarked law-enforcement vehicle shall
be exempt from the collection of any toll on the West Virginia
Turnpike.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to exempt law-enforcement
officers who are on duty from paying any tolls on the West Virginia
Turnpike.
