§23-1-9. Compelling compliance with order or subpoena.
In case of failure or refusal of any person to comply with the
order of the executive director, or subpoena issued by him or her,
the associate director, or duly appointed employee, or on the
refusal of a witness to testify to any matter regarding which he or
she may be lawfully interrogated, or refusal to permit an
inspection as aforesaid, the circuit judge of the county in which
the person resides, on application of the executive director,
associate director or any duly appointed employee, shall compel
obedience by attachment proceedings as for contempt, as in the case
of disobedience of the requirements of a subpoena issued from the
court on a refusal to testify in the court.
