§16-32-3. Powers and duties of the director of health.
The director of health shall administer and enforce this
article. The director has the following powers and duties:
(a) To issue licenses and assess fees pursuant to this article
and the rules promulgated thereunder.
(b) To promulgate rules necessary to carry out the
requirements of this article in accordance with the provisions of
chapter twenty-nine-a of this code, to include, but not be limited
to, the required training, the prescription of fees and procedures
for the issuance and renewal of licenses.
(c) To approve the training courses administered to licensure
applicants.
