CHARLESTON, WV - Senate President Jeff Kessler (D-Marshall) says HB 4351 – the Governor’s Mine Safety Bill – is a good piece of legislation that will improve safety within the mining industry and help prevent mining tragedies.
The Senate amended the bill; however, Senate President Kessler says he is confident the House will concur with the amendment. He adds that the bill passed unanimously without any floor discussion or debate due to the work in committee prior to the bill coming up for a vote.
