Senate Majority Leader Keynote Speaker for Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff Reserve Academy Graduation

Charleston, WV - Senator John Unger (D-District 16), Majority Leader of the West Virginia Senate, announced today that he is privileged to be the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony for the Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff’s Reserve Academy, Class 1, 2012 to be held Saturday, October 27 at 4:00 p.m. at the Wright Denny Intermediate School in Charles Town, West Virginia.

“The Reserve, an all-volunteer organization, is often called upon to assist the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department with traffic control, events details, and other duties vital to the communities served by the Department,” said Senator Unger. “I am proud to address the first graduating class of the Academy that has been designed to bring order and consistency to training these volunteers thus enhancing their service to our citizens. Reservists and active duty personnel have coordinated efforts producing an Academy that will be a benchmark for law enforcement around the Mountain State.”

“I congratulate the organizers, the instructors and the graduates for their dedication to Jefferson County and it’s citizens” said Senator Unger.
