Delegate John O’Neal Appointed to House Judiciary Committee

CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA- House Minority Leader Tim Armstead announced that Delegate John O’Neal (R-Raleigh) has been appointed by House Speaker Rick Thompson to serve as a member of the Committee on the Judiciary for the remainder of the 80th Legislature. Speaker Rick Thompson made the appointment effective immediately upon the recommendation of Minority Leader Armstead. Delegate O’Neal is in his first term in the House of Delegates.

Armstead said of the appointment, “John O’Neal is an energetic and creative leader who has shown tremendous dedication and a sincere desire to improve the lives of the people of the West Virginia. The Judiciary Committee is one of the key legislative committees in the House and I know John’s intelligent and hard-working approach to addressing the issues facing our state will be a great asset on this Committee.”

In addition to his service on the Judiciary Committee, Delegate O’Neal will continue to serve as a member of the House Committees on Banking and Insurance, Political Subdivisions and Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security.
