CHARLESTON, WV - Senate Judiciary Chairman Corey Palumbo (D-Kanawha) says SB 518 makes it very clear who can and cannot run for public office.
The bill specifically defines felony as a crime punishable by incarceration for longer than one year. It also defines “under conviction” as a finding of guilt which has not been reversed, vacated or expunged.
