Young Applauds Frontier Expansion in Nicholas County

CHARLESTON – Frontier Communications will soon be bringing internet service, or upgrading it, in 18 areas of Nicholas County, Delegate Adam Young learned recently.

“Internet service is critical to our residents,” Young noted. “It is a key part of our infrastructure and is important to our educational system, economy and general quality of life.”

Young and other members of the House of Delegates Central West Virginia Caucus met with Frontier Manager of Government Affairs Kathy Cosco in late January.

“We told her how important Frontier’s expansion into our region is to our constituents,” he said.

In a letter to Young earlier this month, Cosco announced two rounds of projects.

First, service will be brought to or upgraded in the Snow Hill, Fowler Knob, Keslers Cross Lanes, Persinger and Dixie areas in the first half of this year.

In the latter half of the year, Frontier will complete projects in Birch River, Drennen, Mount Lookout, Mount Nebo, Pool, Canvas, Nettie and Fenwick.

“This is exciting and encouraging news for the residents of Nicholas County,” Young said.
