VS.
DIVISION OF CORRECTIONS
(CC-12-0536)
     Claimant appeared pro se.
Cynthia R. M. Gardner, Assistant Attorney General, for respondent.
     PER CURIAM:
Claimant, Bruce Thomas, an inmate at the Mount Olive Correctional Complex, seeks $6.35 for a pair of scissors that he alleges were wrongly confiscated by Respondent as contraband. At the hearing of this matter, counsel for Respondent stipulated to liability and the amount of damages sought by Claimant.
The Court is satisfied that Respondent did in fact improperly confiscate Claimant’s property and that the amount offered by Respondent is a fair and reasonable amount with which to settle this claim.
Accordingly, the Court is of the opinion to and does make an award in the amount of $6.35.
