Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The purpose of this bill is to allow the 75% limit per category to be exceeded if during the final processing of applications for the fiscal year, the 75% limit results in funds remaining and qualified applicants not reimbursed.
The estimated cost to the State as a result of this proposal is $0. The total amount available for teacher tuition reimbursement remains at the discretion of the legislature.
