Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
There is no anticipated cost to the State as the result of the proposed legislation; however, county boards of education may incur some additional costs. County boards may be required to assume additional expenses for uniforms and other costs related to sponsoring interscholastic sports. County boards are permitted to require Tebow students to pay any participation/activity fee in an amount equal to the fee charged to a public school student. Tebow students are responsible for paying any increase in insurance premiums that occur as a result of the school district providing insurance coverage for such student.
