Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The stated purpose of this bill is to phase-in a reduction of the corporate net income tax rate from nine percent to six percent by reducing the rate by one-half percent per year, commencing July 1, 2005.
According to our interpretation, passage of this bill would result in a decline in the General Revenue Fund as shown in the table below.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
This bill would phase-in a reduction of the corporate net income tax rate from nine percent to six percent by reducing the rate by fifty one hundredths of one percent per year, commencing July 1, 2005.
According to our interpretation, passage of this bill would result in a decline in the General Revenue Fund as shown in the table below.
