Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The impact of this fund is critical in nature to subsidizing the workers compensation premiums of volunteer fire department throughout the State. It is critical to provide the necessary funding to the men and women who sacrifice time away from family, career, and other personal interest to share their talents with their communities and neighboring communities they serve. It is critical for the State to sustain this fund, along with establishing risk management plans of all departments to assure the best management and applications of the funds. It will be important to sustain this important fund. This fund will not have any impact on our agency but could have a significance negative impact on the volunteer fire service if left without funding.Please find a sustaining funding mechanism for this workers compensation subsidy fund.
