Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to allow required HIV and hepatitis testing for the protection of law- enforcement officers who may have been exposed to the infection during the performance of their duties and others.
As written, the department does not anticipate a fiscal impact related to the changes from this bill as the Department's Bureau for Medical Sevices already covers HIV and hepatitis testing, regardless of occupation.
