Memorandum
The Bureau of Employment Services has no data available upon which to base an estimated number of additional claims that would occur if this bill became law. These individuals who would benefit from the bill are aware of SSI offset provisions of the UC law. Therefore, they normally do not file a claim.
The estimated number of claims is based upon the program managers best estimate and is not supported by statistical data. The average weeks claimed and the average weekly benefit are based on FY 2004 Actual experience.
