Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to allow the issuance of a special volunteer fire fighter registration plate for a five-year period.
Currently the Volunteer Fire Fighter plates must be renewed each year. Going to a five year renewal would eliminate the annual renewal fee for the four years following the initial purchase. At current levels this would mean an annual revenue loss of $21,360 per year or $85,440 total for the non-renewal years.
