Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The proposed legislation indicates that the Board of Risk and Insurance Management (BRIM) shall provide professional or other liability coverage for certain boards of education volunteer workers and student teachers. BRIM does not currently maintain any exposure data related to boards of education volunteer workers or student teachers as described in the legislation and cannot identify any professional or other liability losses that are associated with these volunteer workers and student teachers. As a result, an estimate of the projected additional costs and expenses for the current fiscal year, or any subsequent fiscal year, cannot reasonably be determined or estimated.
