Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

The proposed bill would increase costs to the Department of Administration, specifically for per diem and expenses paid to members of the newly created board, salary and benefits of the executive director and support staff, administrative costs in providing offices for the executive director, staff and board, and any administrative costs necessary in the disposition of matters before the board. The proposed legislation provides that per diem and expenses of the board shall be paid from appropriations made by the Legislature, but does not specific if the appropriation will be in addition to any current appropriations. At this time, the Department of Administration is unable to quantify the costs and expenses associated with the board as described in the proposed legislation.
