Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to eliminate the annual fee charged for the 911 Commemorative Plate.
The Division sold 3,547 911 Commemorative Plates during FY2004. Eliminating the annual fee of $15.00 would result in the annual reduction of Revenue to the Road Fund of $53,205.00.
All applicants for the 911 Commemorative Plate would continue to pay the initial $10.00 plate cost plus full annual registration fees.
