Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill increase the number of family court judges serving the sixth family court circuit consisting of Cabell County from two judges to three judges and the number of family court judges serving the twenty-third family court circuit consisting Mineral, Hampshire & Morgan counties from one judge to two judges.

Please note: Since this legislation provides that these new judges will be running in the 2016 election cycle and will not be taking office until July 1, 2017, there is no fiscal impact for the upcoming fiscal year.
Next fiscal year, the costs will be for half year but since it will be the first year, it is half of the 1st year figure to cover the start-up costs associated with a new position.
