Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
According to the West Virginia State Police Uniform Crime Reporting section, "identity theft" is listed under the general heading of "fraud." Therefore, it is impossible to determine how many instances of identity theft occur, or how many victims would apply for the $1,000.00 trael expense benefit under this proposed legislation.
